I will take this with me (with your permission, of course) to my next visit to Gray Center, our diocesan conference center... There are ladybugs everywhere, all the time, all year long! One can always expect to return home from a retreat with a few ladybugs in their luggage! This is a lovely poem!
An ordained priest in the Episcopal Church since 1990, I was born and raised in NY and transplanted to the south when I attended USC for a degree in Journalism. I received my M. Div. from the School of Theology at the Univ. of the South in Sewanee, TN.
I bleed pinstripes - being a Yankee fan from near birth and pulling for the Yanks through their leanest years. I mean, really now, Dooley Womack and Roger Repoz, or Pasqual Perez and Randy Velarde?
Over the years I have come to know and love God through the person of Jesus the Christ, the icon and presence of God's love in a world struggling with brokenness and hurt, with incredible potential for love and salvation. The Jesus I have come to know and love proclaims "All, all, all are welcome in the kingdom, or kindom of God."
My loving wife, also an Episcopal Priest, is my joy and my inspiration.
Lorraine and I are one of four clergy couples in our family. Is that cool or what?
